God's Word functions as a map and guide in this life. Together with prayer and God's Holy Spirit, the Bible is God's Positioning System. Unlike a map which does not identify our location, God is always aware of where we are in life and our trials and hopes. His Word steers us along the proper paths in life if we allow it to do so. We have free will and God will never force us. But, He will show us the way. Trust God and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
