Speaking to ABC radio, the military experts agreed that the West could not win such a war, but Australia would have to suffer tremendous losses, be plunged into poverty and even risk nuclear annihilation. When it comes to the specific war scenarios, the experts disagree. Whereas White assumes that an armed conflict between the USA and China would mainly take place at sea, Fernandes expects, it is more likely that China could block Taiwan, and what would then develop, would depend on whether the United States would seek to end the blockade militarily. On the other hand, they agree that a US war against the People’s Republic of China, with Australian involvement, would lead to enormous loss of human life and other dramatic damage. Fernandes points out that, already the loss of a single frigate means the death of 170 people. White is convinced that such a war “would swiftly exceed the toll in casualties suffered in Vietnam and Korea.” Barrie – who, as a former Chief of the Defense Force, is especially familiar with the consequences of war – urgently warns that war against China would have an impact on all Australians, not least of all economically. China has long been interested in Taiwan and wants it back under its direct dominion.

Many in Taiwan do not want that.

If there is a war between Taiwan and China and the USA gets involved, this would likely also involve Australia.

Australia, United Kingdom, and the USA are in a military alliance called AUKUS, and China is not please with AUKUS or the group’s military plans:

China warned Tuesday that the U.S. and its nuclear allies Australia and the United Kingdom were heading down a “path of error and danger” after they unveiled a deal that will see Australia purchase nuclear-powered attack submarines. The submarine purchase is aimed at modernizing Australia’s fleet amid growing concern about China’s influence in the Indo-Pacific region.
President Biden flew to San Diego for talks Monday with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the nations’ 18-month-old nuclear partnership, which has been given the acronym AUKUS. The three leaders formally announced the plan as they delivered remarks from Naval Base Point Loma at the entry of San Diego Bay, flanked by U.S. sailors with the USS Sterett destroyer in the background. …
The partnership between the three nations, announced in 2021, enabled Australia to access nuclear-powered submarines, which are stealthier and more capable than conventionally powered vessels, as a counterweight to China’s military buildup.

One of the goals of AUKUS is also to develop hypersonic weapons–and China is not pleased with that (see ‘China lashes out at AUKUS after deal to develop hypersonic weapons’).

China believes, correctly, that the AUKUS group and its military plans are intended towards reducing China’s military influence in the Asia-Pacific region.

China objected to AUKUS last September (see China NOT pleased with AUKUS alliance; France also upset) .

Irrespective of what happens with Taiwan (which will one day align with China) China is interested in Australia and one day may very well control it.

As regular readers of this page are aware, since 2009 (in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect), I wrote that China may take over Australia, and possibly New Zealand. Since I wrote that, my belief in that outcome has increased.

Alliances with the USA and UK will NOT be able to protect Australia against powers like China.

On June 24, 2010, the day it was announced that she became Prime Minister of Australia, I warned that I felt that Julia Gillard would take steps to fulfill prophecies that also could get the Chinese interested in taking over Australia (see Australia Now Has a Female Prime Minister: Prophetic Ramifications?).

And that happened.

Are Chinese threats against Australia for real?

The Chinese paper ‘Global Times’ has carried threats in 2011 and 2016 suggesting the China would militarily intervene against Australia. It has declared that Australia is a ‘paper cat,’ that China will get revenge against it, and that Australia would be no more. Is this possible? Are there biblical and other reasons to think that this threat is real? Dr. Thiel answers these questions and brings up the fact that he has been warning about this threat since last decade.

China is trying to rise up and spread its influence. It is not pleased with interference from the USA or Australia.

China may well push harder for control of Taiwan–especially since it knows what places like German-Foreign-Policy.com are reporting.
