Many in the USA fear that a major war will occur during the presidency of Donald Trump:

Most Americans fear a major war during Trump’s presidency: poll

July 19, 2017

An overwhelming majority of Americans are worried that the United States will become engaged in a major war in the next four years during the presidency of Donald Trump, according to a new poll.

According to the survey, released on Tuesday by NBC News|SurveyMonkey, 76 percent of people in the US said they were worried about military conflict, an increase on 10 points since February.

The poll found that 41 percent believe that North Korea currently poses the greatest immediate danger to the United States, emerging as a more urgent concern than ISIL or Russia, which stood at 28 percent and 18 percent respectively.

Three in 5 Americans, or 59 percent, say they currently feel less safe from North Korea compared to how they felt last year, the survey found. The same percentage also said the United States should mostly use diplomacy over military force. http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2017/07/19/528988/Americans-fear-major-war-during-Trumps-presidency-poll

The main reason I reported about that is something that a reader tipped me off about:

July 19, 2017

A recently released study prepared by the US Army War College’s Strategic Studies Institute on “risk assessment in a post-primacy world” offers a glimpse into the thinking of those directing the escalating buildup to war. It cites two “adverse realities confronting the United States” and its military: “The first is the increasing vulnerability, erosion and, in some cases, the loss of an assumed US military advantage vis-à-vis many of its most consequential defense-relevant challenges. The second concerns the volatile and uncertain restructuring of international security affairs in ways that appear to be increasingly hostile to unchallenged US leadership.”

The US military study defines Washington’s strategic objectives during a period of “post-US primacy” to include securing US access to “strategic regions, markets and resources” and extending “US military advantage and options.” In other words, the relative decline of US imperialism’s worldwide dominance is to be countered by means of military force.

It admits that this strategy “will expose substantial US military capability to serial ‘capacity tests’ that are bound to either fail or result in substantial losses or costs.” In other words, the wars being prepared will entail American casualties on a scale not seen since the end of the Second World War.

The document also implicitly acknowledges the need to counter the overwhelming popular hostility to war. “At the same time,” it states, “the US homeland, individual American citizens, and US public opinion and perceptions will increasingly become battlefields.” https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2017/07/19/pers-j19.html

An extraordinary new Pentagon study has concluded that the U.S.-backed international order established after World War 2 is “fraying” and may even be “collapsing”, leading the United States to lose its position of “primacy” in world affairs.

The solution proposed to protect U.S. power in this new “post-primacy” environment is, however, more of the same: more surveillance, more propaganda (“strategic manipulation of perceptions”) and more military expansionism.

The document concludes that the world has entered a fundamentally new phase of transformation in which U.S. power is in decline, international order is unravelling, and the authority of governments everywhere is crumbling.

Having lost its past status of “pre-eminence”, the U.S. now inhabits a dangerous, unpredictable “post-primacy” world, whose defining feature is “resistance to authority”.

Danger comes not just from great power rivals like Russia and China, both portrayed as rapidly growing threats to American interests, but also from the increasing risk of “Arab Spring”-style events. These will erupt not just in the Middle East, but all over the world, potentially undermining trust in incumbent governments for the foreseeable future. https://medium.com/insurge-intelligence/pentagon-study-declares-american-empire-is-collapsing-746754cdaebf

My reason for posting about this is the claim that the USA is entering a time when it will not have the military primacy that it has had the past few decades. That should not be a surprise to regular readers of this page as we have sometimes covered the following biblical prophecy:

19 I will break the pride of your power; (Leviticus 26:19a)

But the USA will lose more than the pride of its power, it will lose its military and economic power (cf. Leviticus 26:19-20) according to biblical prophecies.

Those reporting about this “post-primacy” of the US military have seemed to overlook the international power that is prophesied to takeover the USA.

It is NOT Russia or China.

While Psalm 83 points to Arab involvement, the power prophesied to takeover the USA will rise up in Europe.

Prophecies in the Old and New Testament show this. First from the New Testament:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”(Revelation 13:1-4)

So, a power that appears to be gone, will again rise up and become strong militarily. So strong, the world will marvel. The world will marvel when Europe rises up and takes over the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies. How do we know that this is a European power? Well, the “beast of the sea” of Revelation 13:1 fits with the beasts from the “great sea” of Daniel 7:2–and that sea is the Mediterranean Sea according to the Old Testament (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16). This could, thus, only be a European power, with some assistance with North Africa.

Now let’s look at the Old Testament:

27 Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time. 28 While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.

36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. 37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:27,36-39)

The two kings in Daniel 11:27 is a reference to the King of the Northand the King of the South (cf. Daniel 11:25;40). The King of the Northis a European power. It is not Russia or China as they get mentioned as a threat to that king in Daniel 11:44-45 (see also Is Russia the King of the North?).

How do we know that Daniel 11:39 is predicting the destruction of the USA?

Because in the 21st century, it is the USA that has the “strongest fortresses” (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

Will this destruction come in the first term of a Donald Trump presidency?

No.

Too many other prophetic events must happen first. See also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? 2017, 2018, or 2019?

But, the USA is starting to lose its military primacy, while also encouraging the Europeans to arm. While Barack Obama’s Administration was doing that, the Trump Administration has pushed the Europeans harder to arm. This will not turn out well for the USA per Daniel 11:39. Biblical prophecies are coming to pass.
