Russian media claims an alleged leaked audio file contains a recording of German generals discussing the possibility of a strike on the Crimean Bridge. According to the audio, German military officers mulled the options for carrying out an attack on the Crimean Bridge, including using long-range Taurus missiles. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said NATO had “egg on its face” due to the purported leaked audio between German Bundeswehr officers, according to TASS. Germany Confirms Leaked Audio Of Its Top Generals Discussing Blowing Up The Crimean Bridge
In a huge development and absolute smoking gun revelation, the government of Germany has confirmed the authenticity of a leaked audio recording file published by Russia’s state-backed RT. The leak was first published by RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan, who described that she received it from Russian security officials.
It first appeared under the headline “Alleged audio of German officers discussing Crimean Bridge attack leaked” – as it featured top ranking Germany military officials in a private discussion of “a potential German operation to bomb the Crimean Bridge in Russia,” as it was initially described by RT. Russian media is now openly admitting that the call was in fact intercepted by Russia. Moscow is now saying this shows “direct” German involvement in the war.
The audio could have easily been dismissed in the West as simply Russian-sourced propaganda or even an AI fake; however, in an unexpected development the highest levels of the German government have now confirmed that the audio is indeed real and Berlin launched an investigation into the “serious” breach of secured communications.
“What is being reported is a very serious matter and that is why it is now being investigated very carefully, very intensively and very quickly,” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in Rome.

This is interesting to me for several reasons.

The first to mention is that when I was in Europe a couple of years ago, a diplomat told me that certain information in the media about Belarus was in error and that actually there was a secret plot executed by the German military to do something that many blamed Belarus for (Hitler’s side did something like this in the past). Anyway, having the German military confirming that Germany was discussing a covert plan to be directly, militarily involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has increased the credibility of the account from my diplomatic source from before.

The second is that NATO is not supposed to have troops fighting in Ukraine or for Ukraine against Russia. This is a major embarrassment for Germany on two fronts. One, the Germans were caught. And the other is that this hurts German credibility.

That said, there is a third reason this was of interest to me.

Which is?

Well, Germany is going to want to attempt to mend its relations with Russia, so this might push Germany to do a little more of that–though while there may be a formal apology, I am thinking about things behind the scenes.

Despite Russia’s ‘Special Military Operation’ into Ukraine, there are a lot of Russian sympathizers in Germany. Notice also something a while back from the Los Angeles Times:

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there have been protests worldwide against Moscow’s actions, and certainly in Germany, where activism abounds in places like Berlin. The rise in voices against Russia has led to some Russian bashing. But it is no secret that many of the more than 2 million migrants from the former Soviet Union who now live in Germany are strong supporters of Vladimir Putin. And they never been shy about publicly expressing their support. …
Among the Germany-based Putin backers, the war is regularly referred to as the “liberation of Ukraine.” Right-wing platforms such as the far-right Compact Magazine hail German-Russian friendship.

“If there is one lesson from history, it is this: Germans and Russians must never again allow themselves to be set against each other,” said Jürgen Elsässer, editor in chief of the magazine. “There are arsonists in Kyiv who want to drag the whole world into the abyss to save their regime.” …
Elsässer’s Telegram channel “Compact Magazine” has over 60,000 subscribers. The channel also distributes videos from the blocked Russian propaganda television network RT.
“Polarization is definitely increasing,” Quent said. “By many the ban of RT is seen as evidence that they are in fact telling the truth.” …
Why is there still a vocal minority adopting a pro-Russia line? Many of them are of German ancestry. They left the former Soviet Union because they felt like strangers there and wanted to return to their homeland.
“But here in Germany they were seen as Russians, not Germans. At some point, they started thinking, ‘All right, if we’re seen as Russians, we’ll act like it,’” said Vladimir Kaminer, one of the best-known contemporary Russian writers, who has lived in Berlin for more than 30 years. “When you lose your social status, you quickly develop an inferiority complex.” …
When the phone rings in the home of a 75-year-old historian in Detmold, North Rhine-Westphalia, Russian radio can be heard in the background. Of German descent — he declined to be identified out of privacy concerns — his family moved from Kazakhstan to West Germany in 1983. Asked about his feelings toward Russia, he quickly takes a stand.

Will there be future cooperation between Russia and Germany?

Yes.

As far as prophetic cooperation goes, the Bible identifies the ancient ancestors of the Russians as traders with Europe in the future:

Javan, Tubal, and Meshech were your traders. They bartered human lives and vessels of bronze for your merchandise. Those from the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses, steeds, and mules (Ezekiel 27:13-14).

Today, Russia is a major trader of commodities such as oil and gold. It also exports copper, which is the major component of bronze.

The old Worldwide Church of God taught about the identity of Togarmah:

Togarmah, in part, settled ancient Armenia. Descendants of Togarmah also migrated eastward into Mongolia, where they are today found mixed with elements of Magog. Togarmah’s modern-day descendants are also found in China’s Sinkiang (Xin-giang) province and in Russian Siberia or Tartary.
Ezekiel, however, speaks specifically of Togarmah “in the uttermost parts of the north” (38:6, Amplified). This is a clear reference to the Siberian branch of Togarmah. (Stump K. South Asia in Prophecy. Plain Truth, May 1980, pp. 13-14)

So, Siberia is pointed to for part of Togarmah. The “far north” must include Russia as Siberia is part of it.

Note that the Bible says that all trading nations will have become wealthy trading with Babylon (the restored European Empire–not Asia) and that really prospers in the beginning of the great tribulation:

3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury (Revelation 18:3).

Thus, Russia is prophesied to attain wealth from the coming restored European Empire–which will be German-dominated.

Germany and Russia will one day make a deal. A deal that will NOT end well for the USA or its British-descended allies.

On August 16, 2016, I noticed two items that the old Radio Church of God published back in 1962 (which was before I could read):

MAN’S ONLY HOPE LIES IN TURNING TO HIS CREATOR GOD!

When will a Russo-German deal be made? Here is a quotation from a circular letter issued in September, 1950 by the Nazi Geo-political Center in Madrid:
“However long we may continue to milk the Americans of millions of dollars, there must come the inevitable moment when we shall have to make it crystal clear to them that we are not willing to join the fight against Russia for American interests … (Germany Plots with the Kremlin by T H. Terens, p. 15). …
Most Americans and Britons are not aware of what Germany and Europe are planning against them. This is partly due to the cunning of German. politics. …

As regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I have long expected that Russia will make a deal with the Europeans–including years before I saw what the old Radio Church of God taught (e.g. 07/06/14 German-Russian relations a prelude to the end of USA dominance?).

Why?

Consider the following prophecy:

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).

The “he” is the Germanic European King of the North (cf. Daniel 11:40). The strongest fortresses in the 21st century belong to the USA, and to a lessor degree its British-descended allies (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

Since Bible prophecy points to Anglo-lands being divided in various scriptures (for more than Daniel 11:39, see Will the Anglo-Nations be Divided?), I expect that Russia may well end up with American land, such as some or all of Alaska and maybe even parts of Canada.

That is consistent with modern reality as well as what the old Radio Church of God taught.

In the 21st century, Russia and Germany have economic reasons to cooperate.

This latest leak is an embarrassment for Germany and I believe some behind-the-scenes action will take place to try to repair it.

The Russians and Germans tend to despise the Americans and the Brits more than they despise each other.

Remember the adage that, “the enemy of your enemy is your friend.”

And while Russia will later turn against Europe according to prophecies in Isaiah and Jeremiah and Revelation, prior to that it will support the coming German-dominated European King of the North Beast power against the United States.
