More and more secular sources are finally catching up with the plans and expansion of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) alliance.

JOHANNESBURG, July 20 (Reuters) – More than 40 countries have expressed interested in joining the BRICS group of nations, South Africa’s top diplomat in charge of relations with the bloc said on Thursday.
Anil Sooklal and officials from the department of foreign affairs were addressing journalists in the main commercial city of Johannesburg, a day after South Africa confirmed Russia’s Vladamir Putin would not attend the BRICS summit due to take place on Aug. 22-24.
The question of how far and fast to expand the club – centred around Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – is top of the agenda at the summit of nations seeking to offset to the perceived hegenomy of the U.S.-led West in global affairs.
Aside from the 22 countries that had formally asked to join, Sooklal said there was “an equal number of countries that have informally expressed interest in becoming BRICS members … (including) all the major global south countries”.
South African officials want BRICS to become a champion of the developing world, and Argentina, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Comoros, Gabon, and Kazakhstan have all expressed interest. https://www.reuters.com/world/more-than-40-nations-interested-joining-brics-south-africa-2023-07-20/
Greenback weaponization prompting efforts to likely introduce new currency
A potential world-changing financial event is on the horizon next month.
The nations that make up the BRICS — Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — reportedly plan to introduce a joint currency backed by gold when they meet for their summit on Aug 22-24 in Johannesburg.
The BRICS venture underscores an effort to “de-dollarize” amid concerns over Washington’s ability to “weaponize” the greenback through economic sanctions.
“BRICS is set to introduce a new currency backed by gold, in contrast to the credit-backed US dollar, with the decision coming a month ahead of the bloc’s summit in Johannesburg,” Russia’s RT.com posted on Twitter on July 8. “With the growing initiative, more and more countries are lining up to join the group.”
More than 40 countries, including Algeria, Argentina, Egypt, Mexico, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have expressed interest in joining BRICS.
“Many other countries have applied to join BRICS. De-dollarization is accelerating,” finance community Wall Street Silver tweeted to 921,000 followers on July 7.
“The freezing of Russia’s currency reserves (the equivalent of almost $600 billion is currently at stake) has set off alarm bells in many non-Western countries,” wrote economist Thorsten Polleit on the website of the Mises Institute, a libertarian economics think tank in Alabama, on Monday. “It has reminded a number of them that holding US dollars comes with a political risk.” https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202307/19/WS64b71530a31035260b81727f.html

Major steps are being taken to push aside the dominance of the USA dollar.

Jim Rickards stated that “This play for global reserve currency status by the BRICS will affect world trade, direct foreign investment and investor portfolios in dramatic and unforeseen ways.” Jim Rickards did not discuss the role of Europe to bypass the USA dollar –but that was part of why the euro was developed in the first place. And Europe will help topple the dollar–it will not just be the alliance of the BRICS nations. So, let’s say that from his perspective, what will happen with Europe in all of this is “unforseen.” But biblically, we know much of what will happen.

And yes, gold looks to be involved for Europe (cf. Daniel 11:38,43) and others (cf. Revelation 18).

Furthermore, USA sanctions policies and debt (which Joe Biden and others continue to increase–watch also our video: And the Debt Goes On …) will have costs greater than those that most pundits understand (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8).

Gold Backed Currency to Replace the US Dollar?
China introduced something that was called the gold-petro-yuan back in 2018. Since then, the global share of US-dollar-dominated exchange reserves have dropped to 59.0%. In April 2021, China became the first major economy to unleash a Central Bank Digital Currency. China also has given its banks permission to import large amounts of gold. Is China preparing for a gold-backed yuan to push aside the US dollar or to help it survive a US dollar cataclysm? Are other nations preparing to push the US dollar aside? The BRICS nations have long wanted to topple the dominance of the US dollar. Now they are moving more towards a critical mass that could be one of several tipping points against the US dollar’s use as the primary reserve currency of the world.

Those in Iran and some of the Arab lands, along with nations such as Brazil, China, and India have discussed plans for the removal of the dominance of the U.S.A. in global trade as well. The former (again current) President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, even claimed that eliminating the U.S. dollar’s reserve currency status was one of the reasons that the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) was formed in the first place. [i] Others have noted that bypassing the USA dollar is still an object of BRICS—and officially BRICS nations “are currently working on setting up a new global reserve currency,”[ii] which may have gold-backing.[iii] The expansion of BRICS (which is in progress) may ultimately even hurt Australian trade as well as “severely weaken primacy of the US Dollar as an international currency.”[iv]
The Bible clearly warns against cheapening the money supply and encourages having money hold its value (Proverbs 25:4 Isaiah 1:25, Ezekiel 22:18-22). Debt is also warned against (Habakkuk 2:6-8). Yet policies enacted under the Obama, Trump, and Biden Administrations, following certain other administrations, have ignored these warnings.

One day the US dollar will be toppled. But let, me add that the Bible teaches that a coming European power will accumulate gold too (cf. Daniel 11:38,43; see also The Plain Truth About Gold in Prophecy. How Should a Christian View Gold?).

Biblically, it should also be noted, is that the role for at least a few of the BRICS nations seems to be related to a coming military alliance. Related to BRICS, we have the following video:

BRICS and the Woes of Revelation
The BRICS nations consist of Brazil, Russia, China, India, and South Africa. In February of 2023, Russia, China, and South Africa held joint naval drills. In the Fall of 2022, India, Russia, and China held joint military exercises. Brazil also has a military cooperation agreement with Russia. The Book of Revelation uses the term woe three in chapter 8 verse 13–those woes are then discussed in later chapters. Could the BRICS nations, along with the coming Babylonian European Beast power be involved in all three of the woes? Do the BRICS nations want to push aside the USA dollar? Is one of the woes tied to the rise of a 200,000,000 man army? Is there any connection to the second woe and the two witnesses? Do the woes correspond with the last of the seven trumpets in the Book of Revelation? Is one of the woes tied to Armageddon? Does Jesus return with the seventh trumpet? Will nations not be pleased when Jesus returns? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie go over these matters.

Although BRICS will not dominate the world economically like the coming European Beast power will, the BRICS nations and their decisions will have major impacts on the world.

The USA dollar will be replaced.

Actions being taken around the world are setting the stage for that.
