Israel Attacks Iranian Targets Inside Syria

The senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps commander’s remarks came in a terrifying speech at the weekend.
Hossein Salami boasted of the creation of an “Islamic army” near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
He warned that this would then be used to “end” Israel.
Salami, quoted by the Times of Israel, said: “Today, an international Islamic army has been formed in Syria, and the voices of the Muslims are heard near the Golan.
“Orders are awaited, so that the eradication of the evil [Israeli] regime will land and the life of this regime will be ended for good.
“The life of the Zionist regime was never in [so much] danger as it is now.”

Various Iranian leaders have called for the elimination of the tiny nation of Israel.
Iran has long wanted to lead the Islamic world and hopes to get it to unify with it. Iran has proposed attacking Israel in the past to get Islamic support.
Now, it should be noted that Israel has attacked Iranian positions in Syria. Notice the following:

Syria accused Israel on Sunday of attacking an air force base near Homs known to be housing Iranian forces. This is the third time in a year that Israel has struck the site, according to foreign reports.
The official Syrian news agency SANA said air defenses were activated as warplanes, reportedly coming into the country from Jordan, approached the T4 base near Tiyas. The planes, which were said to be flying at low altitude to avoid detection, passed through the al-Tanaf area, where U.S. forces have a base.

Although Israel caused damage to Iranian installations in Syria, Israelis should consider that there is a prophecy that shows that God will remove protection from Judah and allow part of Jerusalem to suffer major damage from what appears to be an Iranian-Syrian coalition:
6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots, And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
8 He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. (Isaiah 22:6-9)
Elam seems to be a reference to at least some in Iran. Kir seems to have Syrian connections. The Bible tells of a time when Kir will be destroyed (Isaiah 15:1b) and also says that Syria’s capital Damascus will be destroyed (Isaiah 17:1).
Notice the part in bold italics. Israel is trusting its armaments to protect it. Realize that Israel’s ‘Iron Dome’ will NOT sufficiently protect it once God removes the protection of Judah (which the Jewish state represents).

We are seeing military conflict between Iran & Syria vs. Israel.
Ultimately, it will not end well for Israel (Isaiah 22:9), Syria (Isaiah 17:1), or Iran (Ezekiel 32:24-25).
But it may be a factor to usher in the prophesied temporary peace deal of Daniel 9:27 (see The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27).
