The Rise and Fall of the King of the South

 

The Bible tells of a leader called the King of the South. Biblically, he looks to be involved with at least three deals with the coming European King of the North Beast power. In 2015, Saudi Arabia announced a military coalition of 34 countries who agreed to defend the "Islamic nation." Is such a nation foretold in Bible prophecy? Will those in North Africa and the Middle East support it? Will hunger or other problems help lead to the rise of an Imam Mahdi, who could be the biblical King of the South? Will that kingdom prosper for a time? Why might Psalm 83 point to terrorism? Will the King of the South arise before the Great Tribulation? Do Muslim prophesies warn against a deal with the Roman Catholics that will be broken? Is Islam the Beast like Protestant Joel Richardson has asserted? Does Egypt have gold? Could the King of the North take gold to help support a partially gold-backed currency? Did Nostradamus warn that the 'Great Arab' would be betrayed by the Turks? Does the Bible teach that supporters of the King of the South will betray him? Could Ezekiel 30:1-9, 32:2-16, and Jeremiah 46:14-24 also be referring to the King of the South and his destruction? Might the King of the South be an Egyptian? Why does it look like the Two Witnesses will provide warnings about what will happen to supporters of the King of the South?
