Sermon: God’s Names and Kingdom
This is the sixth sermon in a seven part series covering the free e-book "Mysteries of God. What is God?' In this sermon, Dr. Thiel goes over names of God in the Old and New Testaments as well as the origin of the English word Jesus. The sermon also goes over the names of the church in the New Testament as well as early historical documents. Dr. Thiel explains which church was the "original catholic church" according to historical records that are accepted by the Roman Catholic Church. Polycarp's apostolic succession through the present time was mentioned. Scriptures related to Jesus' purpose to preach the kingdom of God were quoted. As well as statements related to true and false Christians as well as true and false gospels. Several false gospels, starting with the serpent's statements to Eve in the Garden of Eden through to the ecumenical-interfaith agenda of the 21st century were discussed. Information related to God's plan of salvation were also covered.
