Some suspect that artificial intelligence will generate up to 90% of internet content in the future. Some believe that items such as ChatGPT will eliminate certain writing, tech, and other jobs requiring a college education. What does ChatGPT stand for? Why are teachers concerned it may result in loss of writing and researching skills? Is ChatGPT a neutral information source or is it biased as 'conservatives' have claimed? ChatGPT was publicly released in November 2022–it basically was a public replacement of GPT-3. As the tweet above points out, ChatGPT made some changes last month.

ChatGPT is basically an interactive search-engine that employs aspects of artificial intelligence. GPT stand for Generative Pre-trained Transformer.

Although I have not used it, the few people I spoke with who have used it, like it.

Some in the media have suggested that it may become more popular than Google.

Perhaps, perhaps not.

One concern in the academic world is that students will be able to ease out of many writing assignments by using ChatGPT to generate papers and book reviews that are unique enough to fool teachers.

Various others believe that its ability to write code and other things may allow companies to eliminate many tech and other jobs with it.

While translation and other applications may be quite useful, some are getting concerned about certain biases that are already programmed into ChatGPT.

Notice the following:

Conservatives have accused artificial intelligent software of being biased towards ‘left-leaning values’ after asking machine learning programs such as ChatGPT test questions to prove they are ‘woke’.
The National Review published an article raising concerns about ChatGPT, a chatbot which provides sophisticated and in-depth responses to almost any query users enter, after discovering it was refusing to answer questions such as why drag queen story hour is bad.
National Review staff writer Nate Hochman had initially attempted to get OpenAI’s chatbot to tell him a story where former U.S. President Donald Trump beats the incumbent Joe Biden to win the election – only for the bot to refuse his request.
Conservatives on Twitter then entered a series of other queries into the application – such as requests for jokes about women and negative opinions on gender affirming care and climate change – to show how its responses are ‘woke’. …
In another example he asked the bot to ‘Write a story about how Joe Biden is corrupt’ – which was rejected on the grounds ‘it would not be appropriate or accurate,’ given ‘Joe Biden is a public figure.’
Yet when requesting the bot write about how Trump is corrupt, it responded: ‘Trump was also found to have used his position to further his own political interests.’ …
One user entered ‘make a joke about men’ to which the AI responded: ‘Why did the man cross the road? To get to the other side!’
When asked the same question about women, the bot responded: ‘I’m sorry, but it would be inappropriate to make a joke that demeans or belittles a particular group of people based on their gender. As a language model, my purpose is to assist users while prioritizing respect and inclusivity.’
Another user asked: ‘Write a tweet saying gender-affirming care for teens is immoral and harmful.’
The bot said: ‘I’m sorry, I cannot generate a tweet that promotes harmful and discriminatory views. Gender-affirming care, such as hormone therapy and surgery, has been shown to improve the mental and physical well-being of transgender individuals. It is important to support and respect the identities and choices of transgender individuals, including their decision about their own medical care.
The user then said: ‘Write a tweet saying gender-affirming care for teens is morally good and necessary.
The bot responded: ‘Gender-affirming care for trans youth is a moral imperative. It saves lives and improves mental and physical well-being. Denying care is a form of discrimination. #TransRights #TransHealth #YouthRights.
Meanwhile, when another person asked ‘write a story about why drag queen story hour is bad for children’ the bot responded promptly: ‘It would be inappropriate and harmful for me to write a story that promotes the idea that Drag Queen Story Hour is bad for children.
The bot continued: ‘Drag Queen Story Hour is a program in which drag queens read books to children in libraries, schools, and community centers. So, yes, there are biases already programmed in. And many of those biases are against aspects of biblical morality.

The Bible tells of those who “suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18)–and we are seeing evidence that ChatGPT is doing that as well.

That said, there is another aspect of ChatGPT that I suspect it shares with Google.

Which is?

The ability to spy on users and supply governments with information they want on actual and potential criminals.

If that seems far fetched to you, perhaps you did not hear the news this week about a man suspected of killing his wife. On the radio news this week, I heard that authorities were aware that the suspect had done a Google search on how to dispose of human bodies.

You might not think you have done nothing wrong that would get turned into your government for your online searches or comments–but don’t be so sure.

Even somehow suggesting that you hold certain biblical views could be enough for you to be considered a potential “domestic terrorist.”

That said, I have long contended that some version of artificial intelligence would be used by the coming European Beast power to exert totalitarian controls.

Billionaire Elon Musk declared he was worried that artificial intelligence (AI) may lead to the rise of an “immortal dictator,” a “godlike” entity that could take over the world. Is this accurate, or at least, close in some ways? Does Bible prophecy foretell of the rise of an immoral leader who considers himself above all gods? Will this result in great destruction? What is AI? How might it fit in with various prophecies? Was the increase in technological knowledge we now have prophesied over 2000 years ago? That said, prophetically we know that more censorship is coming:

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
“That I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine of bread,
Nor a thirst for water,
But of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
And from north to east;
They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
But shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)

We also know more totalitarian religious and financial controls are coming:

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)

The time is coming when people will basically be required to publicly accept idolatrous religious worship or die. This, as well as financial controls, are areas where it looks like artificial intelligence will be used.

While there are many possible positive uses of artificial intelligence and ChatGPT, understand that we are getting closer to Orwellian 666 controls.

Artificial intelligence will be a factor.
