This is the seventh part of a multi-part sermon series on the Gospel According to Matthew. In it, Dr. Thiel discusses scripture and tradition, including Roman Catholic concepts of it. He goes into several scriptures related to the 'signs of the times.' He also discusses Laodicea, Philadelphia, and protection. Dr. Thiel discusses Jesus' statements in Matthew 16:18-19, and why it is not possible that Jesus declared Peter as the Rock at the time He spoke in Matthew 16:18. Dr. Thiel also reads each and every verse in the fifteenth and sixteenth chapters of Matthew’s Gospel.
